Go For Orbit took home the Gold, and Epiphany had the privilege of accepting on Astronaut Rhea Seddon’s behalf as well as bringing back the lovely trophy from the IBPA Ben Franklin awards ceremony in Salt Lake City this month. Congratulations, Rhea!

Let’s face it, we all love to win. Awards and honors are fun and exciting to receive, but seldom do people have the opportunity to peek behind the curtain and discover the amazing work that transpired in order to make that dream come true.

For any author, just the thought of completing their book at times seems to feel as if that will be reward enough (at certain given points during the publishing process). Authors tend to experience moments of bewilderment, angst, and consternation while navigating the Author Journey.  When that occurs, at Epiphany we can be heard saying, “This too shall pass”—and it always does.

You see, it’s our job to guide and direct during those trying times. When authors are tempted to throw in the proverbial towel, that is when we are on hand to either tighten the reins or loosen the hold. For first-time authors, the journey is usually very cloudy. Certain points along the way can leave them feeling as if they are in a boat on an uncharted foggy river with multitudinous outlets that continually whisper their name calling them to try this way or that. Staying the course is truly the challenge—and a good travel guide is essential. That’s where we come in.

For those of you wondering if it’s time to write that book (or have one in your computer) why wait another day? Don’t put off what you know is written in your heart. And too, perhaps you have a box of finished product sitting in your home office and don’t know what to do next? Not to worry, we’re here to help.

PS: When Rhea came to us, her book was still on yellow legal pads :)
